Trick-Or-Treat, We’re So Sweet! | Coordinating Sister Halloween Costumes

i’ll be honest, i started thinking about halloween costumes for the girls when it was still summer.  i just get too excited about the holidays now that we have children and i love planning outfits.  while i didn’t know right away what the girls would be, i did know that i wanted to have coordinating sister halloween costumes.  i love the idea of their costumes telling one story so when i saw this knit snow white costume, i knew one of the girls would definitely be wearing it.  and when i saw that they were sold out of 2T and only had a 3-6 month size, my mind was made up for me…the baby would be snow white!

so now, what would our toddler dress up as?  not the witch, that’s not my thing…plus our little girl is too sweet for that!  not one of the seven dwarves, they are boys and i wanted her to be girly.  a fawn!  yes, with a tutu and fur vest…so sweet and dainty!  and i loved the idea of both girls being in tutu skirts, as a way of matching their coordinating sister halloween costumes in some way.  (side note: yes, her headband has antlers which signifies a boy deer…but the girl ears didn’t look obvious enough, so antlers it is!)

our halloween morning started off by the girls spoiling me, as they allowed me to photograph their sweet costumes.  and even though snow white isn’t supposed to eat the apple, our little couldn’t resist munching on it to sooth her teething gums.  her second tooth just arrived!  after pictures and breakfast, our little tutu trick-or-treaters enjoyed story time at the library before trick-or-treating through the book stacks and collecting candy in their baskets.  it was the perfect practice for halloween night!  and even though we’ve been trying to teach our toddler to say, “trick or treat!”…she just looks up at the candy bowl holder and says, “pleeeeeaaaaaase!”  which, to be honest, earned her twice the amount of candy.  she’s so sweet!

after a fun night of trick or treating, laughter with neighbors, two tired but smiling girls and two tired parents, we agreed that halloween was a huge success again this year!  and mama is collecting taxes this year in the form of chocolate, so it’s time to rummage through their candy bowls before they wake up this morning!

happy halloween from our family to yours!
