DIY Magnetic Chore Charts With A Cricut

With the girls in a phase of wanting to help mommy and with us home so much during COVID quarantine, I felt it was a great idea to create DIY magnetic chore charts to start formally introducing the idea of chores to our girls.  I had so much fun designing these charts, plus they are customizable if I want to change their chores as they grow into new responsibilities.  As we are entering week 2 of being home full time, I felt this would not only be a fun activity for the girls but a wonderful time to introduce a new routine.  And having a little help is definitely a perk!  If you are wanting to make DIY magnetic chore charts, this tutorial will show you exactly what materials are needed and how to create them from start to finish.  Plus, you can customize the chores to fit your child.

I am so excited with how these turned out and I cannot wait to start introducing the girls to chores today.  I am starting out doing Monday through Friday, so be sure to customize your chart to fit your chore needs.  I also love that each child has their own chart featuring their favorite color, making it that much more fun.  Below is a full video tutorial showing exactly how I created these chore charts, plus an additional source list sharing all the materials needed to create this same look for your own chore chart.  Enjoy!

  • Christina V May - I was really interested in decorating some clear glass pyrex mixing bowls.  I was wondering if I could do it with infusible inks.  Would you have any information or instructions on how to do that?  By the way I love watching and learning from you on You Tube.  I also love the LORD.ReplyCancel

    • {beth} a-dilly - Hi Christina! Thank you so much! I actually don’t have any advice on how to do that, since I haven’t worked with infusible ink yet. I do know that whatever method you do, you will want to make sure it is food safe if you plan on using your bowls! Sounds like a really fun idea!ReplyCancel
